The Green Hornet

The Green Hornet was a great movie. My only complaint is Seth Rogan. Man this guy gets on my nerves! His character is such a jacka** and stupid. I don't know if the stupidity is supposed to be funny or what. If a different person played that part then maybe the stupidity would have come across as funny, but not with this guy. I'm assuming that because he wrote and co-produced the movie then he also cast himself as the lead role. The action was great and so was the role of Kato. He stole the show! My husband and I both give it 4 out of 5 stars. (If Seth Rogan was not in this movie then it would have gotten 5 stars.)

Black Swan

Black Swan...what a movie. Natalie Portman's character is trying to not be such a goody-two-shoes. She's trying to let the "black swan" in her emerge. The movie is good, a little freaky but good. You do have to fill in the gaps as to what is actually going on and what is "a dream". It is definitely a rated R movie but I wouldn't want my 18 year old niece watching it. If you are an extremely conservative person, you should NOT see this movie. You may be offended. I give this movie 3 out of 4 stars.

True Grit

This is a remake but it was good. I fell asleep for maybe 5-10 minutes and I had to go to the restroom once. But I was able to get back into the movie fairly quickly. Storyline is good and there are some good one-liners. Matt Damon does a good job as a Texas Ranger and the girl is very likeable and brave. Good movie...worth the money. 4 out of 5 stars.
